Eligibility

Businesses that wish to apply must demonstrate their ability for commercialization and take on international markets. Applications must demonstrate that they have a strong potential for growth outside of their local market.

Eligibility

Businesses that wish to apply must demonstrate their ability to internationalize themselves and take on international markets. Applications must demonstrate that they have a strong potential for growth through exportation.

  • Must be a young business or NPO located in Montréal;
  • Must be in the creative and cultural industries;
  • Must have operated for at least one year;
  • Must be able to provide at least one consolidated financial statement;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 full-time employees and a maximum of 250 employees;
  • Must pay an amount of $750 that covers administrative fees, if selected. (The project is valued at $15,000, including airfare, for each selected business or organization, and costs are covered by our founders and partners.)
  • Can have 1-2 respondents present for all activities in the program organized by Cabinet Créatif de Montréal;
  • Must be at least 21 years old;
  • Must apply between October 24 and November 30;
  • Must provide a board of director’s resolution.

Evaluation Criteria

  • The correlation between the internationalization approach and corporate development;
  • The relevance of the international marketing approach;
  • The clarity and relevance of the planned export process;
  • The demonstration of the main potential of Cabinet Créatif de Montréal in the approach;
  • The business’s understanding of the export process;
  • The quality of the application.

The business’s ability to implement an export project will also be assessed based on the following:

  • Elements related to head office
  • Human resources
  • Finances (liquidity)
  • Current and potential sales
  • Innovation and technologies
